  • Soil: Thrives in well-drained loamy to sandy loam soils.
  • Climate: Prefers cool, dry climates with temperatures between 15°C to 25°C.
  • Water: Requires low to moderate water; drought-tolerant.
  • Sowing: Sown during the Rabi season (October-November).
  • Harvesting: Harvested in about 120-150 days, usually around March-April.
