  • Soil: Grows well in loamy to sandy loam soils with good drainage.
  • Climate: Prefers warm, arid to semi-arid climates with temperatures between 25°C to 35°C.
  • Water: Requires low water; drought-tolerant.
  • Sowing: Sown during the Kharif season (June-July) or Rabi season (September-October).
  • Harvesting: Harvested in about 100-120 days during the Kharif season or 120-140 days during the Rabi season.
