  • Climate: Requires a warm climate with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C. It is sensitive to frost.
  • Water: Moderate water requirement; drought-tolerant to some extent.
  • Sowing: Sown during the monsoon season (June-July). Direct seeding is common.
  • Harvesting: Harvested in about 150-180 days, usually around December to January when the pods turn brown.
